One Mimosa, Two

Party planning is one of my favorite things. It is something that allows me to use my creativity to create the style, browse ideas, and execute. I love to be able to set a scene in an effort to create a fun atmosphere at a party! The make your own mimosa bar at my sister's shower was so much fun. I found a variety of juices (my favorite being the fresh squeezed orange juice at Whole Foods) to accompany the fresh fruit to use as a garnish. You can mix and match your favorite flavors of juice and fresh fruit! I added mint leaves to add some freshness and color to the table.

I used vintage carafes and to make the look uniform. The square bowls with fruit were also the same to allow the look to be cohesive in design. The signage adds more direction to the theme of the "mimosa bar". Save Water Drink Champagne is one of my favoite sayings. Here are a few different signs I found with this same quote!

I used clear frames from Crate and Barrel (found here) and used chalk markers to write on them! I found the markers at Hobby Lobby. The highlighter pack is so fun and vibrant. The best part is it wipes write off, leaving no imprint or mark like a chalkboard sometimes does. Adding the steps was so easy and fun. The black background was added to allow guests to see the steps with the sun on a bright day. I like the look of it without the paper too, leaving an opaque look. This may work better with a darker background - such as greenery or barnwood.

The calligraphy labels were hand draw and tied around the carafes with twine to allow to guests make their favorite selection based on personal preferences. The mimosa bar was such a hit we had to send my dad to the store for more champagne!

Cheers
