Aiport pic - Comfy and cute - scarf doubling as a blanket (BEST IDEA ever - I will forever now travel with a scarf, even if I exit the plan in 100 degree weather.
This Louis Vuitton change purse is the perfect little thing to have to carry your cards, license and cash when traveling. Easy to carry when a purse isn't necessary!
This trip fell 2 weeks before the half marathon. Running in 95 degree weather was TOUGH. The change of scenery was great. Running around the Riverwalk was beautiful in the morning. It is crazy to see the difference from the morning when there are only runners to the nighttime when you can barely walk down the same paths!
The girls wanted to tour the city on motorized scooters. I honestly wasn't too excited about this initially, maybe I was a little nervous. I ended up having a BLAST! I have a little dare in me, believe it or not. I was weaving in and out of the students on the path. They thought I was hilarious or probably just nuts. That's ok, I pride myself on being a dorky teacher!

Loved the nature in San Antonio. I have never seen real cacti that wasn't in a little pot or in a greenhouse. They were everywhere!
I even held an armadillo! I braved this and still am shocked I did it. IN A KATE SPADE dress especially! Don't worry, he did NOT touch it!
The FCCLA polo is the required uniform. You know I snazzed it up a bit with a lace skirt and a hot pink crossbody. The J Crew floral necklace is my favorite.
We even came back to Chicago with Gold and Silver medals! The girls did great! Do you see that heart? <3
Boat tours on the Riverwalk.
I documented this lunch because it was my first lunch by myself. I read a book, enjoyed people watching and had a great time alone. Invigorating feeling.
Chicago girl, always and forever.
I had a fun trip, but boy was it good to be home.
